AUDITION / SCHOLARSHIPS
SPRING 2010 PIANO AUDITION DATES FOR ENTRANCE AND SCHOLARSHIPS:
  • Friday, March 5, 2010
  • Saturday, March 6, 2010
  • Saturday, March 27, 2010
  • Individual Audition times possible by arrangement
  • Audition by DVD possible if distance precludes campus visit

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

Undergraduate:
  1. First or third movement of a sonata by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven or Schubert OR a piece by J.S. Bach or Domenico Scarlatti
  2. One contrasting work from the Romantic era or 20th century
  3. Additional work optional (recommended if considering performance)
  4. Major and minor scales and arpeggios should have been studied 4 octaves (if considering performance)
  5. Sight Reading will be tested for levelling purposes
Graduate:
  1. Work by J.S Bach or Domenico Scarlatti
  2. Complete sonata
  3. Contrasting work
