SFA Women's Choir
The Women’s Choir, under the direction of David Howard, is a 25-voice ensemble comprised of music majors and non-music majors at Stephen F. Austin State University. The Women’s Choir affords female singers the opportunity to explore treble repertoire from the last 500 years with a special emphasis on contemporary works.
The Women’s Choir frequently collaborates with The Choral Union,
A Cappella Choir, and the Orchestra of the Pines in performances of large-scale choral/orchestral works.
Membership in the Women’s Choir is open to all SFA students. The Women’s choir rehearses twice weekly and appears in concert twice a semester. For more information, contact David Howard, Associate Director of Choirs.
