2008 SFA Summer Music Camps
Each summer the SFA School of Music hosts several camps for students who want to improve their skills in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Dates for the 2008 camps are as follows:
2008 Middle School Band Camp
June 15-20, 2008
Featuring four 7th- and 8th-grade bands and a faculty of over 50 distinguished music educators and performing artists.
2008 High School Band Camp
June 8-13, 2008
Featuring six 9th-grade through 12-grade bands and a faculty of 40 distinguished music educators and performing artists with a nationally known guest conductor, Col. Arnold Gabriel.
2008 SFA Percussion Symposium
June 22-27, 2008
The SFA Percussion Symposium is a total percussion camp that features classes in fundamental techniques, keyboards, orchestral instruments, marching percussion, drumset and ethnic percussion. All participants perform in a Percussion Ensemble and the High School program includes a marching percussion option.
2008 Drum Major Camp
June 22-27, 2008
7th-grade through 12-grade. Featuring instruction for Military Drum Majors and Corps Style Drum Majors.
