SFA Summer Music Camps
Each
summer the SFA School of Music hosts several camps for students who
want to improve their skills in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Dates
for the 2008 camps are as follows:
2008
Middle School Band Camp
June 15-20, 2008
Featuring four 7th- and 8th-grade bands
and a faculty of over 50 distinguished music educators and performing
artists.
2008 High School Band Camp
June 8-13, 2008
Featuring six 9th-grade through 12-grade
bands and a faculty of 40 distinguished music educators and performing
artists with a nationally known guest conductor, Col. Arnold Gabriel.
2008
SFA Percussion Symposium
June 22-27, 2008
The SFA Percussion Symposium is a total percussion camp that features classes in fundamental techniques, keyboards, orchestral instruments, marching percussion, drumset and ethnic percussion. All participants perform in a Percussion Ensemble and the High School program includes a marching percussion option.

Drum Major Camp
June 22-27, 2008

7th-grade through 12-grade. Featuring
instruction for Military Drum Majors and Corps Style Drum Majors.
2008 Summer String Camps
Specialized instruction for
high school and junior high string students featuring Mr. Gene Moon (orchestral studies), Dr.
Jennifer Dalmas (violin/viola), Dr.
Evgeni Raychev (cello) and a distinguished faculty of music educators
and performing artists.
